Negli anni Settanta, alcuni hippy vengono massacrati e mutilati da un individuo di nome Damon, che strappa loro la pelle del viso e la offre in sacrificio a Lucifero. Nella Francoforte attuale, una maestra elementare, Miriam, entra in contatto con un misterioso vecchio che sembra conoscere molte cose su di lei. Una notte, costui sfruttando il sonno della ragazza, le introduce nel naso un insetto che per sarà foriero di incubi e di una sconvolgente maternità nera, collegata a un antico pozzo e alla setta dei Senza Volto, che attendono l'avvento del figlio del Diavolo.
